We strongly recommend taking less than you think you’ll need. Because we are partaking in a lot of walking and hiking, please bring appropriate clothing for such activities. You will want to have both shorts and long pants as, even in late June, there can be cool days and nights. Packing layers is best with short sleeves for the day and long sleeves for early mornings and evenings. A rain jacket is always a good idea as you will want to stay dry should we see some rain, and a warming layer such as a lightweight fleece is a good idea for cooler mornings or evenings. Good hiking shoes or boots are highly recommended. Be sure you have worn them enough so they are worn in and you don’t have to worry about blisters. A day pack and water bottle or water bladder are suggested for the daily hikes and a way to keep extra layers with you, water, snacks or anything else you need such as your mobile phone, sunscreen, chapstick, sunglasses, etc. There is no need for anything dressy, but for men we suggest at least one collared shirt (such as a golf shirt) for dinners at slightly “nicer” restaurants to pair with a pair of khaki-like pants and for women we recommend something similar such as a nice t-shirt or blouse to wear with pants or a skirt if you are a skirt wearer. But most of the places we will be are used to active travelers so active wear that can go from the trail to the restaurant is ideal.
